Tumaini Charles has more than 20 years of professional experience in international public health nutrition with expertise that spans nutrition efficacy and effectiveness research and program design, institutional architecture and capacity, management, and evaluation. He has extensive experience as a technical advisor to the Government and development partners on food and nutrition policies and the integration of nutrition services into health systems to strengthen delivery platforms. He brings experience from managing, developing, and delivering programs for UN agencies, prominent research institutes, and the Tanzanian government. Tumaini has played an instrumental role in the implementation of the Multisectoral Nutrition Action Plan. Tumaini holds a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition from Gent University, Belgium, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania.
