Claire has over eight years of experience in agricultural research and policy analysis within the East African landscape. She conducts extensive on-the-ground research and provides analytical support to the Market Intelligence Unit (MIU) at the Ministry of Agriculture and is also the custodian of all SERA BORA relevant and up to date agricultural related data in Tanzania. Claire’s knowledge of the Tanzania agricultural sector has been cited in several regional research papers. Some of her research works include; a study on the local response to the rapid rise in demand for processed and perishable foods that resulted from an inventory of processed food products in Dar es Salaam, and multivariate analysis of the BRICS financial markets. She holds a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from the KwaZulu Natal University.
